While not officially part of the Corporate Challenge fencing competition, each year the Red Rock Fencing Center hosts a competition amongst each division's first-place teams for top honors as the champion of champions.

For the third consecutive year, the Las Vegas Valley Water District earned this top honor!

A few weeks before Corporate Challenge, the Red Rock Fencing Center offers a crash course in épée fencing - the weapon used in Corporate Challenge fencing. We charge a nominal fee for company teams and also offer equipment rental and free training space.

B Division teams battle it out


The format

Corporate Challenge fencing features épée, the dueling sword. While you can score only with the tip of the weapon, the entire body is a target AND both opponents can score touches at the same time.

Depending upon the number of teams involved, the tournament involves team bouts of 27 or 45 points. Each team has three or four fencers who fence each of the other team's opponents in 3-touch or 5-touch bouts.

Teams may have an alternate who substitutes in during the bout. Other rules apply and will be communicated to the teams before the tournament.
